Nuovi cuscini per il divano

Buongiorno cari amici!
Ormai adoro questi colori, li trovo davvero raffinati!

Good morning, my dear friends!
Today I'd like to show you the new pillows that I tailored
for our sofa in our living room: I used a beige fabric
with white heart in the front and back with white polka dots.
I love these colors, I think they are very sophisticated!

Since I am not good at stitching the zip,
I used the buttons to close the pillows:
This time I used some little wooden hearts and
the red thread to hang them and to make the buttonholes.

Auguro un buon fine settimana a tutti!
I wish a nice weekend!

Photografic Service to my Shelties!

Buongiorno a tutti, cari amici!

Good morning, my dear friends!
Today I'd like to show you a little "photographic service"
that I made to my furry friends!
As usual, there are more pictures of Larry than Luna's,
because she's very shy and she escapes from my camera!
Instead Larry is a narcissist...

Auguro una buona giornata a tutti!
Have a nice day!

Paesaggio invernale

Buongiorno cari amici!
diverto a scattare qualche foto, così finalmente

Hello, my dear friends!
Today here the sun shines in the sky
and I must admit that such day brings me a good mood!
Moreover, with this wonderful light
I love to make some pictures,
so I can show you this little pillow that I embroidered last week.
Thanks to Luisa that gave me this pattern!

During the Christmas' holidays
we spent some days in the wonderful French capital.
It was a short but beautiful vacation,
because you know that Paris is
a charming city, that
arouse unique emotions.

Ma cosa vedo laggiù in fondo?
La Statua della Libertà? Ma dove siamo, a Parigi o a New York?
(fonte: wikipedia)

But what I see over there?
The Statue of Liberty? But where we are? Paris or New York?
We are in Paris, of course, on a Seine's island,
where the original Statue is located, even if it is
often wrongly considered a copy.
It is the first model of the statue;
it was built by a French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi
in 1870 and it is 11,50 metres high.
It is oriented toward the Atlantic Ocean,
pointing to its "big sister" (305 feet!!)
located in the New York port and
gift by French people to U.S.A in 1883.

At the end, we give you some pictures
of the wonderful Champs-Élysées  decorated during the Christmas' time.

Il pettirosso

Cari amici,
ispirato particolare tenerezza e l'ho voluto immortalare
su questo cuscinetto.

My dear friends
in these cold days I often see a cute robin
scampering to my kitchen's door
maybe to find some crumbs between the blades of glass.
The robin is a pet that I always have love
and I wanted to embroidery it on this little pillow.

Last winter I read the robin's story on one of your blogs,
but I liked it so much that I love to repeat it now.
"Gesus was on the cross. He had on the head a crown
with many thorns that made out large drops of blood.
Nearby a little bird was flying, he saw Gesus and he took pity on him.
The little bird approached him; he tried to remove some
of those thorns, he succeeded,
but his feathers were stained with blood.
The little bird came back to his own nest where he had his babies,
he embraced them and turned red their feathers too.
Since that day these birds are called Robin."

...

Cari amici

My dear friends
in these days I was preparing a post
to wish you an happy new year
and I liked to show you some pictures of the wonderful French capital,
where I spent some joyful days during the Christmas' holidays.
But the events of yesterday left dismay and deep sadness,
together with anger and a sense of helplessness...
A though for the victims and their families.
